What Sets Encore Apart

The Value Of Personal Growth

Your child is not just a deposit or a number here at Encore. The children under our care are an addition to our family, where we take the utmost responsibility for their daily growth. Our staff and teachers get to know your child’s unique learning behaviors and personality, while working one-on-one with them so that they get the individual attention that they need and deserve.

A Focus On Education & Learning

We aren’t just a daycare or a child care center - we are a learning center. Our staff is well-rounded in educating the children here at Encore. We want your child to thrive so we create a sense of belonging in the classroom with our curriculum . We work to develop their individual interests and skills to support their academic success so they can become well-rounded learners for life.

An Emphasis On Fun & Creativity

Creativity is essential in a child’s learning process. We believe that they do best when they are constantly inspired and having fun. Our classrooms are built with THEM in mind. How does their mind work? What gives them motivation and drive? We guide them with empathy and patience, and navigate them through the learning process by allowing them to have fun! Afterall, that IS what kids do best.

Our Care Options

We are an early-learning center that provides full-time care for children starting at 8 weeks until they head to kindergarten! We ensure reliable care and offer a pre-school curriculum that helps your child(ren) reach their milestones. See below under “Our Unique Curriculum Oversight” for our additional curriculums for various age groups.

Our Unique Curriculum Oversight

Nursery

Waddler Classroom

Our nursery is thoughtfully designed to create a homely atmosphere. It features a dedicated nap room with personalized cribs, a spacious open floor plan, a storage area for children's belongings, and two bathrooms for convenient diaper changes! Each day, we foster the children's growth and development by promoting tummy time, minimizing time spent in confined toys, and offering a variety of engaging activities. Our nursery teachers maintain daily communication with parents to ensure that every child feels happy, content, and has all their needs met!

In our Waddler classroom, we emphasize learning through play and exploration. This means that many of our activities involve engaging with the children through play, reading books together, building with blocks, and fostering their imagination. We also focus on age-appropriate gross and fine motor skills to assist them in reaching their developmental milestones! Each week features a specific theme, accompanied by lesson plans that align with it. These lessons include our read-aloud book, arts and crafts, and sensory activities. During circle time, we read the book, discuss its content, and ask questions to spark their curiosity. We also review flashcards covering the alphabet, numbers, animals, shapes, and colors. Additionally, we enjoy singing songs and practicing new signs in American Sign Language (ASL).

Toddler Room

In this classroom, we are dedicated to supporting your two-year-old as they explore their world. We implement a creative curriculum tailored for this age group, as your child is learning rapidly. As they develop, the teacher will adjust both the curriculum and the environment to cater to your child's needs and interests. Each week features a new theme, with activities customized to address the specific requirements of every child in the classroom. Every activity in the lesson plan is intentional and thoughtfully designed based on the teacher's observations. In the twos' room, your child will engage with creative arts, fine motor skills, music, physical movement, literacy, and foundational skills that will benefit them during their time at Encore.

Preschool Room

Three-year-olds are brimming with curiosity and spend much of their time observing, watching, and imitating those around them. As they develop, their world begins to expand, leading them to seek greater independence and to engage with adults and peers beyond their family. During this phase, children will have the chance to learn various skills, such as riding a tricycle, using safety scissors, dressing and undressing themselves, playing with other children, recalling parts of a story, singing songs, and so much more. Our daily schedule incorporates all of these activities through teacher-led lesson plans to help prepare them for kindergarten.

Our Pre-K 1 classroom was created as a safe space for every child that walks through the door. Our goal is to help your child reach their milestones while preparing them for their next journey. Whether that be advancing to the Pre-K 2 room or heading off to kindergarten, we want your child to leave our room excited and ready for that next step! With a variety of independent learning choices, group activities and weekly themed lessons, we have created a curriculum that fits the needs of every child. A few of the things that we work on in our room are alphabet skills such as letter and sound recognition, being able to write the letters individually as well as writing different words and recognizing sight words. We also work on basic math skills such as number recognition, counting, and patterns. We as teachers recognize that though these skills are important, children at this age are still learning personal skills that they will need as they grow. With this in mind, we have included social-emotional skills into our curriculum as well as manners, how to be kind and compassionate toward others and daily affirmations to remind everyone how truly incredible they are!

Pre-K 1 Room

Pre-K 2 Room

Our PreK 2 room is a warm and inviting classroom to get your child ready for kindergarten! The PreK 2 classroom engages your child with books, games, toys, and, most importantly, hands-on activities! All lessons are created with developmentally appropriate, engaging and challenging activities to get your child ready for kindergarten. The daily schedule incorporates literacy, math, science and social skills. These kindergarten concepts are enriched with our thematic learning experiences. Materials within the classroom change with our themed learning. Learning and play are naturally integrated in the classroom. We infuse movement throughout the day to work on large motor skills as well! Every day gives an opportunity to positively improve social/emotional, listening and gross motor skills, which are the building blocks for your child's character development. Our day has a mix of student-led, play-based and teacher-directed lessons and activities to prepare them for a kindergarten schedule.
